The Sackrider Museum of Handbags is dedicated to collecting, interpreting, educating, preserving and presenting a unique and diverse history of handbags to the public.
Our goal is to raise $5,000,000 in the next 5 years to increase our virtual, online museum’s presence and obtain seed money through our Legacy Circle for the purchase or lease of bricks and mortar to display our exquisite collection to the public. We will continue to procure and cultivate our collection to include mid-16th through 21st century purses, chatelaines, reticules, handbags, travel suitcases and

other unique handbag paraphernalia to build the historical perspective of the evolution of handbags. We will also specialize in highlighting American designers and American made handbags, build an extensive research library, create interesting exhibits and further preserve, promote and educate our next generations about handbags.
